Pressing Pause — Reflections on 133 Episodes of Design Dialogues
A Moment to Reflect and Say Thank You
Episode 133
After 133 episodes, 85 interviews, 54 solo shows, and two live events… I’m pressing pause on the Design Dialogues podcast. This isn’t goodbye forever, but it does feel like the right moment to stop, breathe, and reflect on what’s next.
When I started this podcast back in July 2023, I honestly didn’t know if anyone would listen. But week after week, you showed up. You tuned in on commutes, while walking the dog, late at night after wrapping up drawings. And together, we built something I’ll always be proud of — a space for real, honest conversations about the business of design.
This episode is part reflection, part thank you, and part love letter to this community.

Looking Back on Design Dialogues
When I first pressed record, my goal was simple: to create a place where interior designers could find encouragement, practical insights, and the reassurance that they weren’t alone in navigating the ups and downs of business. What I discovered along the way was a community who embraced that vision wholeheartedly.
Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of speaking with extraordinary designers, industry experts, and business leaders. Together, we’ve explored everything from client onboarding to pricing models, from building your first team to scaling with systems. But more than that, we’ve shared the real stories — the messy behind-the-scenes moments, the doubts, the lessons, and the breakthroughs.
Knowing that those conversations resonated with you, whether you were listening from your studio desk or between site visits, has been one of the greatest privileges of my career.
Why Pause Now?
Like many of you, I wear many hats: designer, mentor, business owner, mum, friend, partner. And just like our design projects, our businesses — and our lives — go through seasons. Right now, I feel called to pause, reflect, and ask myself what I want to build next.
This pause isn’t about an ending. It’s about creating space for new possibilities. It’s about acknowledging that we evolve, and that our work should evolve with us. Sometimes the most powerful growth comes not from doing more, but from giving ourselves permission to stop and breathe.
Gratitude for This Community
Before I take this pause, I want to say a heartfelt thank you. To every guest who generously shared their knowledge, to every listener who tuned in, sent messages, or told me what the podcast meant to them — your support has been everything.
Podcasting can feel like talking into the void, but you reminded me that these conversations mattered. The fact that you carried them with you into your own studios and businesses is something I’ll always cherish.
What’s Next?
For now, the Design Dialogues catalogue will stay live so you can revisit your favourite episodes or catch up on ones you may have missed. And as for the future — whether Design Dialogues returns in its current form, evolves into something new, or becomes part of a different project altogether, I know this: the conversations we’ve had will continue to ripple through our community.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
